New Years Day BackBlast @TheO

Last minute decision to put this together.  Decided on half ruck/ half mixed workout.  Got to the O at 7:50 and was the only car at the entire park.  Not sure I’ve ever seen that before.  The other showed up and we got started at 8

Pax: 4, Amelia, Cardinal, Glen Ross, Pope

Conditions: Clear, 4 but feels like -8

Gear: I usually leave this out but had to mention 2 things.  1- Pope does have winter gear.  2- Cardinal showed up with duct tape on his shoes, which he claimed would keep his feet warmer.  First time I’ve seen this, but he did claim that it worked.  Not to mention his cousin was the first ever FNG to post in jeans!  This family knows how to dress.

Ok- on to the ruck.  Kept it simple, 2 laps around the Seneca loop. 2.4 miles in 40 minutes.  Wasn’t sure if we would stay warm doing this but suprisingly it did.  So far Cardinals tape holding up

Second Half:  dropped off the rucks and grabbed some frozen coupons.   Started with 20 presses, then sprints 20 curls, then sprints, 20 thrusters then sprints, 20 incline Merkins, then sprints.  Pope broke his coupon in half- nice way to ADBD5B80-16C5-4EB5-8E62-BC412903C9FB.pngstart 2018!

This wasn’t keeping the fingers warm enough so we headed over to the tennis courts for some suicides.

10 Merkins, 20 LBCs, 10 BOYOs, 20 squats (1 exercise at the end of each court)

Repeato- but increase to 20 Merkins, 40 LBCs, 15 BOYOs and 40 squats.  This seemed to do the trick with warming the hands up.  Next Pope led us over to tennis court benches for 20 dips/ 20 derkins.  Liked this so much we did another set.

also noticed Pope’s beard looked grey, in which he replied that it was just frozen snot.  Nice, let’s move on.

Next Cardinal suggested some more tennis court work- where we did some Agassi’s/ shuttle runs.  Finished and then worked our way back.  Ended with Amelia leading a quick run back to the flag for COT

Ended at 9:10, with intentions.  Discussed a loaded schedule this week for F3, mentioned Iron Horse challenge, discussed resolutions, and prayers for those in need.

Overall, great way to start off the new year.  Felt great getting up early and meeting with others #getbetter #f3
