1/13/18 Backblast #theFog @thePoshlands #Frozen Picnic Party

IMG_0794Six HIMs made it through the icy roads to brave it through my icy Gut Busting challenge. Not the original Weinke that I had planned, however glad that a good group of men were up to my challenge.

Conditions were frigid 17 degrees with a wind chill of 2.  You could say that we were Frozen, however the snowmen brought the heat.

Mosey around the island to the pavilion

Thang 1:

Using the picnic tables performed 4 exercises to complete a set, each exercise was performed for a minute with a 20 second rest in-between (Incline Merkins, Step-Ups, Dips, and Hip Slappers). Complete 4 painstaking sets, trying to avoid the ice.  Was nice hearing Double Down continue putting forward the extra effort by doing merkins while performing Hip Slappers, total respect.

Thang 2:

Mosey around the island once more to circle up in the snow to bring the heat with some Global Warming.  After two rotations to the right performed 20 Bobby Hurleys, another two rotations to the right 20 Air Presses, another two rotations to the right 20 Squats, another two rotations to the right 20 merkins.  After going to the right for so long decided to reverse to the left and repeat.  Methan was kind to point out that Al Gore would have never gone so far to the right.

After Global Warming had us heated up finished off the WO with Gut Buster routine to the tune of Ghostbusters.  Hold plank during the song, Burpee when you hear “Ghostbusters”, and plank jack when you hear “I ain’t afraid of no ghost” in cadence.

COR

Name-o-rama.  Men express gratitude for the day and shared intentions that are further followed up on slack.  As we face these tough times it is truly a testament to F3, knowing that these HIMs are out there supporting each other.  I was truly and honor leading the workout with these men.  Got a great experience in leading and thankful that there is a group like this which doesn’t build followers (not a cult), but builds leaders.  Thank you and looking forward to continuing to getting better.
